i'm not dead! i promise!!
ive been super busy, probably mentioned this before but i have two different jobs. this is the year im finally gonna get it together though! art wise i mean.
there are big big things in the works!! you probably won't hear about it until like, another year from now hahaha! i guess the most upcoming one is a zine i'm tentatively trying to put together with my friend natasha. it's gonna be about FARTING and its gonna be SO COOL
i've mostly been putting feelers for interest in submitting to the zine around tumblr but if anyone here is also interested let me know! send a note or write a comment! i've thought about it a lot and profits will be split evenly amongs all contributors. (that's assuming we even break even though haha)

this about that thing i already mentioned on my other account here, so ignore this if you're also following OutOfTheOrange.
anyway, for the past couple of months or so i've been working on a submission for a comic anthology called sad and on the internet. it's about pretty much exactly what it says! click the link below for more details.....
the book looks amazing from what i've seen of other people's submissions. it's ~64 pages long and it's only about $15. i am very excited to read the whole thing and you should be too! please check it out

no but tbh i never saw what was all that great about star wars
not even the first three
and by first three i mean episodes 4 through 6 just so we're clear
i feel like people get really hung up on it 'cause it seemed pretty cutting edge at the time but when everyone's all like "omg the first three were soooo good, the latest ones RUINED the franchise" i get really confused??? i mean....mark hamill and whoever that girl was who played leia were just as terrible in star wars as hayden christiansen and natalie portman were
and the script was mostly still pretty lame (except if you were han solo who at least had some okay lines) and also c3po was just as obnoxious and pointless and non funny as jar jar binks ever was
so yeah
in slightly more important news i finally read the count of monte cristo. it was pretty exciting but wowwww edmond dantes is kind of a prick. also what's with everyone always trying to kill themselves all the time, gosh!

am i graduating omg

We had our last day of class on Wednesday! The end is finally in sight!
Earlier this month a team of filmmakers was at our school making a documentary. I got to be in it for an interview, and also some shots of me running frantically down a hallway like a broken-legged chicken. It's by some company called Weasel Works? It was pretty fun in a really stupid way...
Oh, I have a website now. It's minamioshiro.com and it's legit, you guys. It's weird, but for some reason getting a Real Website with Real Hosting and everything makes me feel like so much more of an adult. I'll be putting up my professional work there; I took most of it down from dA...but I'll be keeping this account around still for the social times and also for sketches and my more cartoony stuff!
I wish I could say the graduating means I'll finally have some time to do some reading and drawing purely for fun, but that's not the case! I'm going to be so busy from now on, for realz. I got to be in three great shows within the past few months, but this was really only because they were for classes that I was in. I MIGHT be getting into a show for real in September...we'll see...
So whose else has graduated this year?? D:
